The Lent Stole represents the crown of thorn vines and the purple, possibly tattered, cloak that the Roman Soldiers put on Jesus during his trial.

This Stole has dark purples and black thread.

This could also be done in the Advent colors with white thread and brighter purples.

This is an appliqued  stole with cotton fabric.
